Gabriel Dinda is the Founder of Writers Guild Kenya, a Centre for readers & writers working to encourage general reading and Writing culture in Kenya. He has worked to publish 52 first time authors and 12 functional book clubs in a period of 6 years. In 2018, he was awarded as the 1st Runner’s Up in the Writing and Research Category in Utumishi Bora Awards. In 2015, he was awarded Top 25 Under 25 Leadership Award by KCA University and African Garage owing to the new energy and hope he has brought to Writing scene in Kenya.
He is the author of Questions of my Youth (2019), Guide to Self-Publishing (2018), Youth Unemployment in Kenya, a Ticking Time Bomb(Co-authored,2016). He believes that reading in our families is one great way to bring joy & nurture thinkers at home. He is a Graduate Assistant at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and a student of Masters of Applied Philosophy and Ethics at Strathmore University.

Am a high school teacher, and an author of close to twenty published books. Two of the books have received acclaim (Burt Award, 2015, 2018). I am a movie Maker, (scripting and production). Have contributed to two anthologies of poetry (Sing me a Song, EAEP 1992) and BAP 2018). My passion is YA fiction, poetry, and movies. I am also a consultant editor, and presently editing a poetry anthology and a short stories anthology for a publisher. I am mentoring several upcoming authors. I am also working on some adult novels, and motivational books. I run an education column in Education News

Patricia Mataga is currently serving as a Programs and Operations Manager at Writers Guild-Kenya. Prior to this, Patricia served as the Social Media Manager in the same Organization. In her role, she oversees the Coordination of Programs and Operations with a view to growing Writers in Kenya and encouraging general reading in our families. To this end, she has overseen the Publication of 12 first time authors and the creation of three Writing Programs currently operational at Writers Guild-Kenya. The Programs have cumulatively graduated 76 writers who are actively writing in different platforms. Patricia is passionate about Management, Marketing and generally watching ideas grow under her guidance. She has also worked in other capacities in both South Africa and Kenya. In South Africa, she worked with, Ecomm Accountants as Immigration Administrator and Receipt Bank Speciality, she has also worked with Receipt Bank and Xero(Europe) and AfricaTalent Bank as a Writer and a Brand Ambassador.
Patricia’s vision is to support the aspirations of Writers Guild Kenya to ensure that the general reading culture and writing culture in Kenya is cherished. Patricia believes that if our story is not captured in books(or other forms), then we are robbing the future generations of their inheritance.

James Oloo-is a financial and accounting professional; he is currently the Finance and Sustainability manager at Writer Guild Kenya where he handles matters patterning to Finance and Strategy. Alongside his role at Writers Guild Kenya James is also a Finance Associate at Oilfield Movers Limited, a position he has held since 2018. Prior to this role, James worked with Mitchell Cotts Limited as a Senior Accountant. James has a strong background in Transport, Logistics and Finance with over 8 years’ experience. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Finance) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT). He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Writers Guild Kenya (WGK). James loves writing on global affairs and reading classic books and contemporary affairs
