Writers Guild Kenya Thrills Readers at SME Expo

By Florence

The 2nd annual Nation Media Group SMEs (Expo), held at Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, attracted over 200 business exhibitors with Writers Guild Kenya as the only writers and publishing organization represented in the expo.

The Expo agenda was to showcase how Kenya’s economy survived because of digital businesses, touching on how SMEs could access credit at this time of the Covid 19 pandemic. It also created a platform for businesses to display their innovations and awarded companies that had stayed afloat this time of the pandemic.

Embodying the entrepreneurial spirit behind the expo: to motivate, nurture and inspire new home-grown businesses in offering excellence in their products and services while promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital economy, Writers Guild showed aspiring writers that they, too, could grow and nature their passion and produce quality literature for Kenya’s audience while earning from it.

Writers Guild Kenya started as a book club in 2014 at Kenyatta University to combat the challenges faced by aspiring writers who want nature and grow in their writing. The founder, Gabriel Dinda, sought to solve this problem by creating a family of Writers to support and help each other out in their writing journey.

Quote by Gabriel Dinda

Through various education and empowering programs, Writers Guild offers personalized, friendly, and custom-designed models. It provides a single platform for true growth in love, service, and personal development for the good of all.
